বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মত ৫০ বিলিয়ন ডলারের রফতানি লক্ষ্যমাত্রা অর্জন।
চলতি অর্থবছরেই ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মতো ৫০ বিলিয়ন (৫ হাজার কোটি) ডলারের মাইলফলক ছাড়িয়েছে বাংলাদেশের রফতানি। জ্বালানি তেল রফতানিকারক দেশ বাদে বাংলাদেশ বর্তমানে বিশ্বের প্রথম ৫০টি রফতানিকারক দেশের একটি। দক্ষিণ এশিয়ায় দ্বিতীয়, অর্থাৎ এখন ভারতের পরই বাংলাদেশের অবস্থান।
চলতি অর্থবছরে পণ্য ও সেবা মিলিয়ে মোট ৫ হাজার ১০০ কোটি ডলারের পণ্য রফতানির লক্ষ্য ধরা হয়েছিল, যা এরই মধ্যে ৫ হাজার ৮০০ কোটি ডলার হয়েছে। ন্যূনতম ১০ শতাংশ প্রবৃদ্ধি ধরে আগামী অর্থবছর রফতানি ৬ হাজার ৫০০ কোটি ডলারে দাঁড়াতে পারে। সে হিসেবে আগামী অর্থবছরের জন্য এর কাছাকাছি পরিমাণে লক্ষ্য নির্ধারণ হবে।
আশার কথা হল, আগামী দুই বছরে বাংলাদেশের রফতানি ৮০ বিলিয়ন ডলার ছাড়িয়ে যাওয়ার প্রত্যাশা রয়েছে। এ অর্জনে সব রফতানিকারক ও শ্রমিক ধন্যবাদ প্রাপ্য। বাংলাদেশ এখন একটি শক্ত অর্থনীতির ওপর দাঁড়িয়ে।
